Here are just some of many things that I (we) love about her:
She is such a happy little girl. She smiles at everyone and melts their hearts (even smiles at the dogs... cracks me up!). She wakes up in the morning and talks (coos, babbles) to herself. Adam and I lay in bed listening and watching her in her monitor and we just get a kick out of it. Instead of sucking on her pacifier, she often pulls it out of her mouth, chews on it, and passes it back and forth between her hands. She coos and babbles to her toys, especially the stuffed ones. :) She LOVES bath time and kicks and splashes around like a thrashing fish. When water splashes onto her face, she thinks it's hilarious. When she sneezes she smiles afterward. Every time. She giggles and smiles SO BIG when you ask her the following questions, "Can you say... Mama?" "Can you say... Dada?" Lily is so nosey. She's always looking around trying to figure things out. When someone is having a conversation, she stops what she is doing and stares. When Adam and I are eating, same thing. You know when you just get the feeling that someone is watching you? That's how we feel with her. She'll be playing, "talking" to her toys and kicking and wiggling around and all of a sudden you get that feeling and there she is, staring. She's hilarious. When we take her places, she is so good! She rarely ever fusses or cries. When she does fuss, Adam and I wonder what's wrong with her. Is she sick? Is something hurting her? We went Christmas tree shopping on Sunday (another story...next blog). It was freezing and we had been out for awhile and she started to fuss a little. Instantly we asked each other what was wrong with her. Maybe she's still not feeling well (she just had a cold)? Maybe something is poking her? Adam, sometimes more logical than me, said "Jen, I think that's just what babies do sometimes." Ohhhhh, that's right. That's how good she is! When she is fussy, you can get her to turn her mood around by making a silly face. Soon her scrunched forehead smooths out and a little smile emerges. I love Lily's chubby cheeks and her rolly thighs. Makes me just want to squeeze her. I love how beautiful and peaceful she is when she sleeps and how warm and snugly she feels when she falls asleep in my arms. I just love her with all of my heart and I am so thankful that Jesus has blessed Adam and I with our little princess.
"Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise Your glorious name." 1 Chronicles 29:12
