Although we are only 25 days into the New Year, there are already so many fun joys to share.
On Christmas morning, I opened a present from Adam: a large scrapbook filled with Disney stickers and pages... a bit odd because 1. I don't scrap book and 2. I don't love Disney to the point that I want to make it a background to life's little fun moments. Nonetheless, I thought it would be kinda fun to give it a try and see how I do. I like crafts and things like that so I knew I'd probably enjoy it. However, I opened my last present and it all made perfect sense... well after a while. I opened it up and two things dropped from the box and onto the floor. Before picking them up, I looked at what I had in my hands and again, it was more Disney stickers and scrapbook paper... huh. Adam pointed to the two things that had dropped so I bent down and picked them up (2 laminated pieces of paper). Oooohh, I get it now! They were Disneyland passes!!! Yay! He explained to me that he thought it would be fun if I scrap-booked all of our fun family trips to Disneyland with Lily. I was so excited! An added bonus is that my sister and her boyfriend as well as my parents also bought passes so we could all go together.
Adam and I decided to go together with Lily on a Tuesday. Disneyland was empty (well as far as Disneyland goes) and we walked around, ate lunch, and went on It's a Small World. Wow! Talk about stimulation! Everything looked so plain after being on that ride. To top it off, it was all decked out for Christmas so just when you thought there couldn't be one more thing to get your attention, throw in glitter and sparkling dresses, wreaths, Christmas trees, Santa, reindeer, etc. etc. YIKES! Needless to say, Lily was in shock and so were we.

The second time we went, we made a whole day of it and went with my parents, sister, and Ethan. Surprisingly, there are several rides that Lily can go on. We just went on a few... The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World (we had to expose everyone else to the craziness), and A Bug's Life. It was nice going with everyone because someone could watch Lily while some of us went on rides that she couldn't. For dinner, we went to Rainforest Cafe where Lily proceeded to grab the server while he was taking our order. So funny! She also sat in a restaurant high chair for the first time... if you know me, this took some coaxing but after we sanitized it, I caved.

We took her on It's a Bug's Life and she cried. We felt just terrible!! Poor boo!

Since the New Year, we have spent lots of time with friends and family. It will be an even greater blessing if the rest of the year brings as much joy and happiness as the beginning of it already has. The Lord is so good and I am truly thankful! Once again, He gives even though we deserve nothing!
